OUR GALLERY
Stoke Green Day Nursery was established in 2011 and is an Ofsted registered nursery situated within a conservation area in Coventry.
Supporting children’s development through the Early Years Foundation Stage is an essential part of our everyday practice and we offer a welcoming, warm & homely environment where experienced and qualified staff are there to meet the needs of you and your child. Your child will be assigned a key person on their first settling in session, the assigned practitioner will support you and your child during the settling in process.
OUR BABY ROOM
Our Baby and Caterpillar room is based on the ground floor of the nursery and caters for children aged 12 weeks to 2 years . The capacity within the room overall is 12 babies / toddlers at one time. As a setting we understand that young babies routines may vary in regards to sleep time, weening and bottles, the staff will ensure that your babies routine is catered for whilst in our care at Nursery.
Our staff will support the parents and carers with stages of weaning & feeding and will conduct a thorough induction to ensure we understand the needs of you and your baby.
LADYBIRD ROOM
Ladybird room is based on the first floor of the nursery and caters for children aged approximately 2 years to 2.6 months. Ladybird room has the capacity for 12 children at one time.
The children have access to a variety of activities available ranging from the 7 areas of learning (EYFS). We will offer support in regards to any toileting and potty training. your child's key person will offer a wide range of support in relation to the children's interest and progression within their development.
BUTTERFLY ROOM
Butterfly room is based on the first floor of the nursery and has the capacity for 12 children aged 2 years 6 months- 3 years. Your child's assigned key person will continue to encourage and support your child through play to develop their milestones. Whilst in the Butterfly room there will be an emphasis on children learning to be independent, to participate in small group activities. We will also start to induce phonics, letter and number recognition.
PRE-SCHOOL
The pre-school area of the nursery is located on the ground floor at the back of the Nursery setting, we have the capacity for 22 children at one time.
Children within the Pre-school room have access to a variety of areas and activities focusing on the 7 areas of learning (EYFS) an interactive whiteboard and lots of creative & imagination play.
Key group activities take place each day both morning and afternoon with a focus time, the children interests are followed and extended by your child’s keyworker. In the Pre-school room the practitioners will continue to support and prepare children in regards to school readiness, we have an outside agency - Fitness focus attend every Tuesday to provide a physical education activity for the children (Additional charge of £3.50). We also focus on phonic, letter and number recognition.
SOFT PLAY & SENSORY ROOM
Our soft play and sensory room offers a range of different experiences, from a calming and stimulating environment to a physical and fun environment. All ages are able to stay and play in the soft play and sensory room, we often use the room for a sensory stimulation and offer a quite space for children to relax.
